National Day/ President of Ashghal to QNA: National Day Will Remain Immortal in Memory of Citizens, Residents

Doha, December 09 (QNA) - HE the President of the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) Dr. Eng. Saad bin Ahmad Al Muhannadi affirmed that the National Day will remain an immortal occasion in the memory and history of Qataris and residents of the State of Qatar, adding that through it, the sense of belonging and pride in this country is renewed. In an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of the National Day, HE said that the National Day of the State of Qatar is an occasion that enhances pride in the country, enables the expression of love and gratitude, and the people's unity with the leadership. Through this occasion the memory of the Founder Sheikh Jassim Bin Mohammed Bin Thani is commemorated, HE said, adding that under the Founder's leadership, Qatar became a unified, independent country. He highlighted the fact that the celebration of National Day this year coincides with the 2022 World Cup, and the slogan "Our Unity is the Source of Our Strength" is a reminder of our role in achieving national unity through which every individual in society works to achieve a cohesive national and societal fabric, which is what distinguishes us as a people and leadership, adding that this day will remain an immortal occasion as it is the day in which the State of Qatar succeeded in organizing the World Cup exceptionally despite all the challenges through the solidarity and cooperation of all government agencies and the private sector, making it a happy memory that every citizen and resident of our beloved country Qatar can be proud of. The President of the Public Works Authority also stressed that the Authority will continue its efforts that mainly support economic, social and urban growth, in order to enhance the development and progress witnessed by the country at all levels, explaining that Ashghal worked on huge projects in accordance with the highest international standards that keep pace with rapid growth in all fields, and it is the entity responsible for sponsoring and managing all infrastructure projects and setting future plans to achieve Qatar National Vision 2030.
