National Day/ Ambassador of Oman: Qatar Celebrates National Day in Light of Achievements- Bringing Pride to Arabs

Doha, December (QNA) - HE Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Qatar Najib bin Yahya Al Balushi said that Qatar's celebration of its National Day comes in light of a great global achievement made on this land that brought pride to the Arab world, which is hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. This year, the celebration of the National Day will be distinguished by the presence of people from all around the globe in the State of Qatar, whether to attend the tournament or through media outlets, he added. In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of the National Day, HE Ambassador Al Balushi said that this occasion reflects the history of Qatar and the march of its renaissance, development and prosperity, noting the tireless work of those in charge of organizing the World Cup over the past years. He stressed that the development of infrastructure and the construction of the most wonderful and beautiful football stadiums in the world will be a decisive factor in the success of the tournament. HE Ambassador of Oman extended his warmest congratulations to HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and all the members of the ruling family, as well as the Qatari people, on the occasion of National Day, expressing his wishes for security, safety, progress and prosperity for the State of Qatar. The National Day is an important event to confirm national unity and cohesion, recall the great sacrifices that were made in the establishment and construction, and highlight the country's achievements that have been made throughout the path of sustainable development, His Excellency added. His Excellency noted that the 2022 National Day slogan 'Our Unity is Source of Our Strength,' is an approach that has been instilled in Qatari citizenship over the past decades and that will be instilled in future generations, adding that it is one of the most significant achievements that dazzled the visitor to the State of Qatar. He explained that cohesion, unity, hospitality, and warm reception are solidified values that the Qatari society has always gone by, noting that these values have not changed despite the great development and modernity that the country has been witnessing, which is the message that Qatari people are keen to deliver to the world through the World Cup. HE Ambassador of Oman stressed the historical brotherly relations between the sultanate and the State of Qatar, which he described as strategic and social, rooted at the level of leadership, government and the two countries' brotherly peoples. These relations are in continuous development, which is confirmed by the growth and development in all fields and sectors between the two countries, as well as the constant keenness of the various official authorities in the two countries for joint cooperation and communication, he noted, adding that these positive aspects are achieved thanks to the great interest attached by HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of the Sultanate of Oman and HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and the fraternal relations and common interests that the two peoples are keen to strengthen. His Excellency pointed out that the State of Qatar has become the focus of the world's attention due to its diplomatic, economic and development successes, explaining that Qatar is an important and active partner in the international community, and a country with a diversified and developed economic vision.
