“ROUNDTABLE” ON STATE PROGRAM FOR SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF REGIONS FOR 2009-2013 HELD
Baku, June 10 (AzerTAc). A “roundtable” meeting to present a state program on socio-economic development of regions of Azerbaijan for 2009-2013, endorsed by presidential decree of April 14, 2009 was held at the Ministry of Economic Development (MED) on Tuesday.
The event was attended by the representatives of international donor and financial institutions, as well as European commission, OSCE, UN, USAID, German GTZ, Swiss SECO, Turkish TIKA organization, World, KfW and Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The roundtable meeting aims to inform the international financial Institutions and donor organizations about the new State Program and discuss opportunities for their participation in the realization of the State Program.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree approving the State Program of Socio-Economic Development of Regions of Azerbaijan for 2009-2013 in order to diversify the economy and its effective integration into the global economy, improve infrastructure and public services and living standards.
