Legislative system on improving investment reviewed

SANA'A, June 09 (Saba) - The Cabinet discussed on Tuesday a report
on the legislative system on improving the investment environment.

The report presented by a Ministerial Committee, headed by Minister
of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi.

The legislative system on improving investment environment includes
a new investment law and other income-tax law which has been
coordinated on with the private sector.

The cabinet formed a committee presided by Minister of Legal
Affaires to revise the two laws according to the received notes, and
then referred it back to the cabinet for approval and sending to the
parliament to finalize the constitutional procedures.

The investment law draft includes 33 articles while the income-tax
law draft includes 169 articles to ensure the provision of several
advantages for investments.
