Doha, December 18 (QNA) - Qatari newspapers on Sunday underlined that Qatar National Day this year coincides with an extraordinary event attracting the attention of the world to Qatar which is hosting the final of an exceptional World Cup edition, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Through the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the State of Qatar celebrate the cohesion of the leadership and the people that led to this unprecedented success in the history of the World Cup, and made Doha worthy to be the capital of world sports, the Qatari dailies said in their editorials, stressing that Qatar National Day 2022 is different, and post-World Cup Qatar will not be as before, after it promoted its image before the world as a State with a vision, will, and people capable of dreaming and achieving its dream. Under the headline "Promoting Lofty Human Values", Al-Watan newspaper said today marks two prominent event - Qatar National Day, and the coronation of the winner of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. This historic day has significant meanings reflected in what HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani said: "Our Unity, Source of Our Strength". Now that saying appears in its best form as the State celebrates the two important events that confirm that it is moving on the right path, through a set of values derived from true religion and glorious history. Today we celebrate the unity and harmony of all the people of the State of Qatar, their love and loyalty to the dear homeland and the wise leadership. Unity and love among the people of Qatar and their wise leadership is the source of their strength and the basis for building this country and its progress, inspired by the founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, who laid down the foundations of our modern state, and preserved its sovereignty and the dignity of its people, Al-Watan said. Qatar National Day is an occasion to review what has been achieved and what we aspire to achieve. This year, the impressive hosting of the best World Cup in the history of football adds an important dimension to the this occasion by creating a legacy and promoting the rapprochement of cultures and the lofty human values, Al-Watan said. Meanwhile, Al-Sharq daily said that Qatar’s celebrations of the National Day this year coincides with the final of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which expands the influence and participation in the celebrations to include the whole world, amidst the presence of a large number of leaders, prominent officials and fans from all countries of the world, in addition to international media outlets, giving the occasion of Qatar National Day 2022 an important symbolic significance, and making it a historic occasion by linking it to the most successful World Cup edition in history. The paper noted that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received cables of congratulations on the occasion of the National Day from Their Majesties, Highnesses and Excellencies, leaders and heads of brotherly and friendly countries. HH the Amir also participated in Qatar's Arda which was held in the courtyard of Lusail Palace yesterday to celebrate Qatar National Day. Al-Arab newspaper began its editorial by saying that the National Day of the State comes this year in light of an exceptional event that puts Qatar under the spotlight as the final match of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will be held today. It added that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, who made it a habit to be present among his people on all occasions, participated in Qatar's Arda (traditional sword dance), which was held in the courtyard of Lusail Palace to celebrate Qatar National Day. The newspaper pointed out that since the National Day last year, citizens witnessed the successes achieved by the State in various fields despite the global economic conditions, confirming that HH the Amir's policies are all conducive to achieving his dream and the dream of the people, Qatar National Vision 2030. The newspaper pointed out that the National Day this year is not like other days, and Qatar after the World Cup will not be as it used to be after strengthening its image in front of the world as a country with a vision and initiative people capable of achieving their dreams. It added that the wonderful memories and the sweet days that the fans experienced in Qatar will be remembered, and they will talk about the hospitality of Qataris, the friendliness of Arabs and their respect for women in contrast to the brainwashing attempts of biased misleading media from Western outlets that do not reflect the people who love life and humanity. The newspaper stressed that the exceptionality of the National Day this year stands out with the end of Qatar's World Cup, which was the most successful tournament with the testimony of officials, experts and fans, adding that we have the right to celebrate, as the road has never been easy over the past 12 years of work and effort to reach this position. On its front page, Lusail newspaper highlighted HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's participation in Qatar's Arda (traditional sword dance), HH's exchange of National Day greetings with Shura Council Speaker, and the greetings HH the Amir received on the occasion of the country's National Day which coincides with the final of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 with Argentina taking on France at the Lusail Stadium on Sunday. The paper also highlighted HH the Amir's meeting at Khalifa International Stadium on Saturday evening with a group of fans from outstanding students who are visiting the country to attend part of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 matches as part of the "FIFA Qatar 2022 for All" initiative. English-language newspaper, The Peninsula, underlined that citizens and residents are set to celebrate the most memorable Qatar National Day today as the country also marks the culmination of the FIFA World Cup. Under the title "Memorable Qatar National Day", the paper said that with many festive activities being organized to celebrate the National Day, defending champions France and Argentina will battle for glory at the Lusail Stadium set to be packed with 88,966 spectators with billions of eyes on Qatar to watch the final. Today's final will bring an end to Qatar's historic journey to host the World Cup – becoming the first country in the Middle East and the Arab world to host the global tournament, the paper said, noting that the World Cup witnessed unforgettable moments. In conclusion, The Peninsula emphasized that as promised, Qatar delivered a unique version of the World Cup which will leave a lasting legacy, adding that the country's authorities particularly the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy worked tirelessly for 12 years despite facing many challenges to make this happen. Meanwhile, Gulf Times daily said that Qatar's celebration of its National Day today is particularly important as it coincides with the final match of the greatest sporting spectacle on earth – the FIFA World Cup. In its editorial under the headline "Global spotlight on Qatar as country proudly celebrates National Day today", the paper said that National Day is a great occasion where the people of Qatar show cohesion, solidarity and unity in their love for their homeland, loyalty to their ancestors and their unforgettable sacrifices. The major achievements that Qatar made in political, diplomatic, economic, sport, health and education among other areas reflect the unity and solidarity between the wise leadership and the loyal people, and draw a bright picture of the future of the State, the paper underlined. The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 has become a major incentive to support the achievement of the Qatar National Vision 2030, which is based on four pillars: environment, human, economic and social development, it added. For decades, hosting the World Cup was a distant dream – but now it has become a reality. Qatar's hard work has indeed come to fruition and the country is now hosting an outstanding edition of the FIFA World Cup – one that will leave an important legacy for our country, the Middle East and globally, Gulf Times concluded. In turn, Qatar Tribune newspaper highlighted on its front page the State of Qatar's celebrations of the National Day, in conjunction with the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 final. The paper said that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani participated in Qatar's Arda (traditional sword dance), which was held in the courtyard of Lusail Palace on Saturday, to celebrate Qatar National Day. Qatar Tribune also stressed the importance of the National Day to strengthen unity and belonging, pointing out that Qataris have demonstrated, generation after generation, their adherence to their national unity and confronting difficulties with determination and action, through solidarity and rallying around their leadership, and their loyalty to their homeland.
