SJC approves Saleh`s orders on soundness of justice proceedings
SANA'A, June 08 (Saba)- The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) approved
in its meeting on Monday carrying out the orders of President Ali
Abdullah Saleh on the soundness of justice proceedings.
The proceedings include mandating the Judicial Inspection Authority
to inspect the courts and public prosecutions as well as insure the
soundness of justice in dealing with cases.
It also includes assignment of all judge offenders and public
prosecutions for the legal accountability and take punitive action
against those proved guilty according to the law.
The council also approved, during the meeting headed by Judge Essam
al-Samawi, suspension from work of a member of the General
Secretariat on irregularities he committed.
It also agreed on the general prosecutor's request to lift judicial
immunity on a judge and member of the public prosecution.
The council appreciated interest of President Saleh in the judicial
authority and the council decisions which would achieve more
judicial reforms.
