Unification significant achievement Yemenis realized: al-Alimi says

SANA'A, June 08 (Saba) - Unification is the most significant
achievement Yemenis realized in their contemporary history, Deputy
Premier and Minister of Local Administration Rashad al-Alimi said on
Monday.

Opening the sub-conference of Local authority in Dalei governorate,
al-Alimi said that such historical achievement has put an end to
conflict and violence among Yemenis and opened a new page of
democracy to reach to power.

The achievements in all governments, including Dalei, are huge in
various fields, he said, looking forward to more ones in development
and investment areas that really need security and stability besides
upgrading administration performance at the central and local levels.

"What actually required today is shifting to the local ruling, which
will be a key improvement in the democratic and development
processes in the country" Deputy Premier said, emphasizing that
holding such sub-conference should be a turning point in this regard.

He called on the participants to contribute efficiently to evaluate
the local authority performance, discuss the national strategy of
local ruling and come out with recommendations that could assist
with advancing the local authority in the future.
