Australia desires to enhance security cooperation with Yemen

SANA'A, June 08 (Saba) - Australia expressed here on Monday its
desire to strengthen security cooperation with Yemen, particularly
in fields of combating terrorism and maritime piracy.

During his meeting with Interior Minister Mutahar al-Masri,
non-resident Australian ambassador to Yemen Kevin Magee praised the
good performance level of Yemeni security bodies.

For his part, al-Masri voiced Yemen's keenness on availing from the
Australian experience in fields of training and fighting against
terrorism, smuggling and organized crime.

He reviewed the successes achieved by Yemen in field of combating
terrorism and its effective contribution to confronting the sea
piracy within the international efforts in this regard.
