Doha, January 04 (QNA) - Qatari newspapers on Wednesday condemned storming the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque yesterday by Minister of National Security in the Israeli entity, Itamar Ben-Gvir, under heavy protection of the Israeli occupation forces, considering it a flagrant violation of the international law. The Qatari dailies affirmed that the continuation of the provocative violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque reveals the occupation's desire to shift the conflict into a religious war, adding that the State of Qatar has warned of the dangerous malicious Israeli plans to impose de facto authority by intensifying daily incursions and deliberately insulting Islamic and Christian sanctities in Jerusalem. The newspapers held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the repercussions of its systematic escalatory policies against the Palestinian people and their Islamic and Christian lands and sanctities. In its editorial, Al-Raya newspaper said that Al-Aqsa Mosque is in imminent danger unless action is taken to stop the fierce Judaization campaign. The newspaper pointed out that the State of Qatar has strongly condemned Israeli National Security Minister's storming of the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, considering it a flagrant violation of the international law and the Hashemite guardianship over the holy sites in Occupied Jerusalem. It noted that Doha warned against the escalation policy pursued by the occupation government in the Palestinian territories, which is pushing the region towards an endless war through attempts to change the religious and historical status of Al-Aqsa Mosque. It called on the international community to take urgent action to stop these attacks, which provoke millions of Muslims around the world. Al-Raya also highlighted the importance of stopping all Israeli crimes that affect Al-Aqsa Mosque by launching an international campaign that exposes Israel and forces the world to take a firm stance against Israel, explaining that the international impotence in front of what Israel is doing is a green light for it to continue its genocide against the Palestinians. The newspaper concluded by stressing that the Qatari support for the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people remained constant, stressing that Qatar renews its firm position on the justice of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital. Al-Watan newspaper pointed out that the Israeli National Security Minister's storming of the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque is an unprecedented provocation and constitutes a serious threat to the arena of conflict and a flagrant and unacceptable violation of international law and the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem and its sanctities. The newspaper said Al-Aqsa Mosque is a pure place of worship for Muslims and what the Israeli National Security Minister did was a dangerous development and heinous aggression, which calls for urgent international action to prevent any repercussions, stressing that the international community bears the responsibility to stop these dangerous attacks that aim to drag the region in directions that completely contradict the efforts to preserve security and stability. It emphasized the important of taking a clear position regarding this through UN resolutions to prevent the recurrence of this provocation, especially since the act in not an individual step on the part of Ben-Gvir, as it took place with the approval of the ruling coalition In Israel. Al-Watan concluded its editorial by saying that although the administration of President Joe Biden has expressed its opposition to any change to the status quo in Al-Aqsa Mosque, what is required is a clear condemnation and rejection of these actions in order to curb the extremists in the new Israeli government and prevent them from taking the entire region towards dire consequences. In turn, Al-Sharq newspaper said in its editorial that it has only been days since the formation of the Israeli entity's new government headed by Benjamin Netanyahu, and it is described as the most extreme right-wing government in the history of the Israeli entity. The fears of many were confirmed as the Minister of National Security in the Israeli entity, Itamar Ben-Gvir, stormed the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday, under heavy protection from the Israeli forces. A move that is a flagrant violation of international law and the Hashemite guardianship over the holy sites in Occupied Jerusalem. The only way to stop this is for the international community to carry out its responsibilities through urgent action to put an end to Israeli violations and oblige the extremist occupation government to respect the sanctity and sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
