Mujawar opens sub conference of Taiz local councils

TAIZ, June 10 (Saba) - Prime Minister Ali Mujawar opened on
Wednesday the sub conference of Taiz local councils under slogan
"Active Administration is Basic for Comprehensive Development."

The two-day conference will discuss of the national strategy of
local ruling and national program to carry out it.

In the opening session of the conference, Mujawar delivered a speech
in which he highlighted role of the governorate in 26th September
and 14th October revolution as well as in reunification of the
country.

He pointed out to the development projects in the governorate,
saying that the government concerns over the growing needs for the
governorate especially need for waters within high rate of
population.Currently, the government is working to resolve the
waters shortage forever by desalination of waters in partnership
with the private sector, he said.

Mujawar said that this conference launches a new stage for the
experiences of the local councils and review what achieved as well
as challenges.

He said that holding such conferences comes to discuss the national
strategy to shaft into local ruling with wide power which was one of
commitments included in the electoral platform of President Ali
Abdullah Saleh.

The prime minister called on all to be active with this strategy in
order to transfer to the stage of the local ruling, saying that the
conferences would enrich the strangely with suggestions which meet
needs of the citizens and the development.

He affirmed important role of the local council to find out
solutions for the social issues, pointing out supporting of the
government for these efforts

Mujawar highlighted outcomes of the republican system and democracy,
saying that coming period would witness constitutional amendments
and further reforms.

He said that all citizens would face all call and out law acts which
target the unity of the nation, calling these outlaw elements for
dialogue under the umbrella of the law and unification.
