RUSSIAN EMBASSY IN AZERBAIJAN CELEBRATES COUNTRY`S PUBLIC HOLIDAY
Baku, 11 June (AzerTAc). The Embassy of Russia in Azerbaijan has organized a celebrative event to mark the country`s public holiday – Day of Russia.
Ambassador Vladimir Dorokhin opened the event, saying Russia and Azerbaijan were rapidly developing.
The Ambassador noted national leader Heydar Aliyev contributed to strengthening friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Russia. “These relations have reached a level of strategic partnership”, the diplomat emphasized.
Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov congratulated the Russian people on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev.
Eyyubov underlined Azerbaijani and Russian peoples had a long history of friendship.
According to him, reciprocal visits by the two countries` leaders contribute to boosting bilateral relationship.
Present at the event were officials, parliamentarians, ambassadors of foreign countries and others.
