Implementing of WB Rainfed Agriculture project reviewed

SANA'A, June 10 (Saba) - Yemen and World Bank (WB) reviewed here on
Wednesday the implementation progress of the Rainfed Agriculture and
Livestock project.

Agriculture and Irrigation Minister Mansour al-Hawshabi discussed
with the WB delegation of Rainfed Agriculture and Livestock project
the project's performance in the targeted provinces within this
project, Sana'a, Hajjah, Mahweet, Hodeidah, and Lahj.

The project's role and its significance in developing agricultural
infrastructure to assist in improving agriculture field in the
country were also discussed in the meeting.

The meeting reviewed obstacles and difficulties impede the
functioning of the project and means to tackle them in the coming
stage.

The WB's Rainfed Agriculture and Livestock Project aims to
contribute to the higher development objectives of reducing poverty
in rural areas and improving natural resources management.
