Doha Institute for Graduate Studies Receives QAA Accreditation

Doha, February 19 (QNA) - Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) announced Sunday it is now the State of Qatar's sole academic body to be accredited by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) after having successfully completing its International Quality Review (IQR).
In a statement, the DI said the accreditation decision included identifying eight areas of excellence in performance at the institute, including the important social and cultural effects of the programs offered by the institute; the qualitative strategic investment in human capital to ensure the student centralization in teaching and learning; support available to students including specialist support; wide range of learning resources and a high-quality learning environment available to students; active approach to student feedback; and student support for publication in world-class platforms.
President of the DI Dr. Abdul Wahab Al Afandi expressed the DI's pride in this international recognition, and considered it the culmination of continuous efforts that began in the fall of 2017.
Al Afandi added that the DI's message, since its inception, confirmed its commitment to the highest international standards, and serious contribution to reformulating these standards. He added that the DI already obtained international accreditation for many of its programs, and it has also signed partnerships with a number of the most prominent universities in the world where the DI's PhD graduates were accepted.
Dr. Al Afandi stressed that the institute will continue to work to enhance the level of performance in all fields, especially in the field of research and knowledge production, including intensifying publishing in Arabic in cooperation with the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies, in addition to publishing in the most important international publishing platforms.
