Fast-track project's delegation evaluates educational projects
SANA'A, June 14 (Saba) - Yemen and the Cambridge University's
delegation tasked with evaluating Fast-Track Project reviewed on
Sunday educational activities which have been implemented by the
project in Yemen.
The meeting, held between Education Minister Abdul-Salam al-Jawfi
and advisory of Human Resources Development at Cambridge University
evaluated the project's first and second phases.
The meeting also discussed objectives which have been achieved in
the targeted provinces with relation to the increase of education
enrollment, especially among girls in Hajjah, Dhamar, Hodeidah and
Baidha'a governorates.
It also shed light on the project's future directions that include
improving education and reducing the educational gab between males
and females as well as increasing educational enrollment.
The global financial crisis and its negative impacts on countries of
low economy as well as the high prices of food which caused
priorities shifting from education to food provision among
low-income families were also discussed.
