Yemen, India discuss cooperation aspects
SANA'A, June 14 (Saba) - Prime Minister Ali Mujawar discussed here
on Sunday with the Indian ambassador to Yemen Praveen Verma the
bilateral cooperation aspects in economic and cultural areas.
The meeting also dealt with the investment aspects and boosting the
volume of trade exchanging as well as raising the scholarships
presented to Yemeni students to study in India.
The Premier noted the historical Yemeni-Indian relations,
highlighting the various investment opportunities available for the
Indian investors, especially in industrial, fishery, tourist sectors.
Mujawar pointed to the necessity of focusing on the cultural field
to serve the development requirements in Yemen and enhancing the
friendship ties between the two friendly countries, wishing success
and good luck for the ambassador, who was newly appointed here,
during his work term in the country.
For his part, the Indian ambassador described the ties linked Yemen
and India as distinguished, affirming the Indian government's
keenness on offering the technical support in training field to meet
Yemen's needs during this period.
The ambassador voiced the Indian investors' hope to invest in Yemen
via investing in small and middle industries field and contribution
to developing the industrial area and Free Zone in Aden.
