PACE SUMMER SESSION TO KICK OFF JUNE 22
Baku, 15 June (AzerTAc). The summer session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will kick off on June 22 in Strasbourg.
According to Gultakin Hajiyeva, a member of Azerbaijan`s delegation to the council, the session will feature a biennial debate on the state of human rights in Europe, and elect new secretary general.
“Parliamentarians will also discuss the challenges of the financial crisis to the world economic institutions, and the latest in a series of reports on the functioning of democratic institutions in Armenia,” said Hajiyeva.
The MP said the Azerbaijani delegation will raise the issue of Azerbaijani refugees in the session.
