Al-Arhabi: Yemen eager to enhance cooperation with UNPFA

SANA'A, June 15 (Saba) - Minister of Planning and International
Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi confirmed on Monday Yemen's
eagerness to enhance the current cooperation frames with UN
Population Fund (UNPFA).


Minister al-Arhabi during his meeting with UNPFA Regional Director
Hafedh Chekir, reviewed the nature of challenges imposed by the
increase of population growth rates and its effects on the
development process in Yemen.

Al-Arhabi affirmed on the significance of reviewing the agenda of
UNPFA, noting the necessity of coordination between the fund, the
governmental authorities and donors to assist in gathering the
needful finance for the population development in Yemen.

The meting discussed current cooperation aspects between Yemen and
the Fund and ways of developing them to cope with the population
development needs in Yemen.
