Top IT officials from 15 nations to discuss telecom industry


SEOUL, June 16 (Yonhap) -- Communications ministers from 15 countries will meet
in Seoul this week to discuss issues involving the telecom and broadcasting
industry, South Korea's telecom and broadcasting regulator said Tuesday.

The agenda of the World Information and Communications Summit set for Wednesday
will include media convergence services, including wireless Internet technology
WiBro and Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) service, a TV service channeled
through broadband computer networks, the Korea Communications Commission said.
The participating nations include Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Poland, Paraguay, Saudi
Arabia, Thailand, Uzbekistan and Nigeria, it said.
