Memo on China - Kyrgyzstan - Uzbekistan railway construction project signed in Xi’an

Bishkek, May 19, 2023. /Kabar/. Minister of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan Tilek Tekebaev signed in Xi'an a tripartite document providing for the next steps for the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway construction project.

The memorandum was signed between the State Committee for Development and Reforms of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The signed Memorandum will speed up the implementation of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway construction project.

The project will help strengthen interregional ties, meet the goals of the Central Asian states to diversify transport routes and increase the region's competitiveness as an international transport and transit hub.
