Ecological Environment Improved in Pyongyang City

Pyongyang, May 20 (KCNA) -- The work for protecting and improving ecological environment is brisk in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK.

This year, the city has created new landscapes in different parts, planted nearly 80 000 trees, repaired roads extending over 30 000 square meters and painted tens of millions of square meters of buildings.

It is also pushing ahead with the work to install and repair thousands of meters of sewage pipes, build new sewage pumping stations and extend the capacity of existing pumping stations. -0-
