Progress Made in Production of Finishing Building Materials

Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK has self-produced tens of kinds of finishing building materials necessary for the rural housing construction planned for this year.

Unpha County laid a foundation for ensuring the quality and speed of construction by pushing ahead with the production of artificial stone boards and heat reserving blocks in a three-dimensional way, along with the production of tiles, paving blocks and curbstones. The county furniture factory and other building-materials bases finished the production of 10 000-odd finishing building materials.

Songrim City manufactured main raw materials for light-burned magnesia plywood by its own efforts and established a process for producing glass yarn from scrap glass to bring high results in the production of plywood.

Pongsan and Yonsan counties made color mortar and heat insulator with locally available materials. -0-
