REPRESENTATIVE OF AZERBAIJAN OMBUDSMAN`S OFFICE PARTICIPATES IN 11TH SESSION OF UN HRC
Baku, June 16 (AzerTAc). Official of the Azerbaijan Ombudsperson`s Office Aydin Safikhanly attended the 11th session of UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.
Session participants discussed the Universal Periodic Review, and approved the final recommendations.
Hearings on Azerbaijan`s attitude to UN HRC`s recommendations concerning Universal Periodic Review were held.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov presented Azerbaijani side`s comments on the recommendations.
Safikhanly said Azerbaijani ombudsman held awareness raising campaign on the UPR mechanism.
Session participants adopted the final document on the Azerbaijan government`s report.
