Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai arrive in Seoul

Seoul (VNA) – Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai and his entourage
arrived in the capital city of the Republic of Korea , Seoul , on June 18
to attend the East Asia Economic Summit held by the World Economic Forum (WEF).


The same day, the Deputy PM held a working session with Kumho conglomerate where
he was informed of the pace of projects that Kumho is carrying out and its plans
in Vietnam .

Kumho representatives said the group wants to invest in infrastructure and urban
areas construction, high-speed railway, transportation and rubbish recycling
projects in Vietnam .

Deputy PM Hai assured the group that the Vietnamese Government always tries to
create opportunities and a healthy business environment to attract foreign
investors.

The Deputy PM is set to attend and deliver a speech at the East Asia Economic
Summit on June 19, where around 300 guests and business leaders from 35 regional
countries are expected to the economic situation in Asia and the impact of the
global financial downturn on the region.

The East Asia Economic Summit is one of the main six events held annually by the
WEF apart from the WEF annual conference in Davos , Switzerland and economic
conferences on the Mid-east, China , India and East Europe.-Enditem
