Yemen, Syria discuss launching joint marine transport company



SANA'A, June 18 (Saba) - Yemen and Syria are to discuss late on June
launching the Yemeni-Syrian-Jordanian marine company, well-informed
sources said on Thursday.

The discussions will be held on the Ninth Higher Yemeni-Syrian Joint
Committee to be held on June 26 - 27 in the capital of Syria,
Damascus, the source told the weekly.

Yemen has presented all his contributions to the marine company,
including a ship and its share of money, according to the source.

The Ninth Higher Yemeni-Syrian Joint Committee meeting' agenda
includes signing 10 cooperation agreements in tourism, health, road,
investment, trade, vocational training and sport.

In addition, the meeting will discuss the possibility to increase
the scholarship to Yemeni students.

During the previous Higher Yemeni-Syrian Joint Committee meetings
held in Sana'a in May 2008, the two sides have signed 14 cooperation
agreements.
