Qatar Museums Launches Diverse October Public Programming

Doha, September 26 (QNA) - Qatar Museums announced the launch of a diverse roster of public programming throughout October, featuring art workshops, reading clubs, drop-in family sessions, and design workshops for children.
The activities will take places across various venues across October, including the Museum of Islamic Art, the National Museum of Qatar, Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, and M7.
Museum of Islamic Art: Reading Goals: A monthly story time event for children interested in the world of sport. Saturday Coloring in the Library: Family Day – Water: A relaxing Saturday afternoon in MIA Library coloring interesting Islamic Patterns with the family. Treasure Hunt: A remarkable way to gain information about Islamic art history. Planet Kids Club - The Very Hungry Caterpillar: Various activities all created under an overarching theme of protecting our planet.
National Museum of Qatar: the Valley of Colocynth: A storytelling session to learn about about Wadhah’s quest for Colocynth. Coffee in Qatar and Indonesia: Lecture on Qatar and Indonesia's coffee culture. Indonesian Night: Night of music, dance, a dazzling Batik fashion show. Brewing and Storytelling Competition: A Coffee Artistry Brewing Competition. A Story of Arabic Coffee: History of Arabic coffee and traditions.
3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum: Storytelling Sessions at 3-2-1 QOSM: A story telling session every Saturday for children aged 7-11. QOSM Guided School Tours: A guided tour of the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum and its permanent galleries for schools and students.
321 Writing Competition for Schools: A writing skills contest for Grades 7-9 Students.
Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art: Making Faces: Mixed-Media Sculpting for Young Artists: Inspired by the works of Iraqi American artist Michael Rakowitz, 2-day workshop encouraging 5–7-year-olds to explore sustainability, learn art vocabulary, and create mixed-media sculptures. Art Making in Manara: An exploration of various aspects of Modern Art and creating artworks for 13-16-year-olds. Art workshop/Manara: workshop where children will discover different art techniques and express their creativity through different mediums. Art Lessons with Ismael Azzam: Learn techniques in portraiture drawing using pencil, charcoal, and paint.
