RUSSIA’S SARATOV REGION WELCOMES COOPERATION WITH AZERBAIJAN

Baku, 20 June (AzerTAc). The Azerbaijan Embassy in Moscow hosted a presentation of “Economic and investment potential of Saratov region” initiative, supported by the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Russia and IBA-Moscow (representative office of the International Bank of Azerbaijan in Moscow).
Presentation ceremony was attended by Azerbaijan and Russian business leaders of Moscow and Saratov region. Making a keynote address at the event Alexander Zhandarov, Deputy Head of the Government of Saratov region, described the economic potential of the region, dwelling on specific areas, attractive for Azerbaijan business, such as the energy, oil and gas, construction, transport and agriculture.
The presentation was organized for the purpose of searching new mechanisms for stimulation, encouragement and attracting investments to Saratov region as well as expansion of trade and economic links between Azerbaijan and Saratov region.
Azerbaijan and Russian business leaders said a fertile ground for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Saratov region must be used for closer integration. Representatives of IBA-Moscow, Azerbaijan Airlines, Azerbaijan Railways, Finance and Banking Council of CIS, over 50 Azerbaijani businessmen attended the event.
