Doha, October 01 (QNA) - Qatari newspapers on Sunday agreed that the State of Qatar is making a new history of successes in hosting major activities this month, reaffirming its position as a capital of global events with the highest levels of management, security, comfort and luxury for guests and visitors.
The Qatari dailies underlined that Qatar will leave a new mark on history tomorrow by hosting the International Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha which will run over six month with the participation of more than 70 countries, amidst expectations that the global event will attract more than 3 million visitors from all over the world, to highlight the latest Qatari and global initiatives, innovations and efforts in the field of modern agriculture, urban greening and vegetation.
In the meantime, the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix 2023 will take place at Lusail International Circuit which had seen a comprehensive development process to host the global event included a group of new and advanced facilities, the renovation of the circuit, increased seating capacity, and the addition of new viewing areas around the circuit and various VIP lounges, the papers added.
In its editorial entitled "Welcome the World in the Doha of All", Al-Raya newspaper said that the world will renew its confidence in the State of Qatar as a capital for organizing major global events with the highest levels of management, security, comfort and luxury for guests and visitors throughout October as the country is gearing up to host prominent conferences and international exhibitions in the fields of development, politics, economics, sports and culture.
The State of Qatar has become a difficult figure in the field of organizing major events after the historic and exceptional success of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and the urban and infrastructure renaissance it has achieved over the past years, including a modern road network, gardens and parks with the highest quality standards, and advanced and safe means of transportation that represent a legacy for current and future generations, as well as the human capital represented by human cadres and national leaders in all sectors, who are always ready to manage the largest events accurately and efficiently, Al-Raya underlined.
Qatar is writing a new history of success in hosting major events this month, placing a new mark on history tomorrow by hosting the International Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha. The event is first international horticultural exhibition of the A1 classification to be held in Qatar, the Middle East and the MENA region. The six month-long exhibition will bring together participants from more than 70 countries and is expected to attract over 3 million visitors from all over the world, to highlight the latest initiatives, innovations, and the Qatari and global efforts in the field of modern agriculture, urban greening, and vegetation, Al-Raya added.
From Expo 2023 Doha to the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix 2023, the State of Qatar is making a new history. Qatar Grand Prix 2023 will take place at Lusail International Circuit which had seen a comprehensive development process to host the global event included a group of new and advanced facilities, the renovation of the circuit, increased seating capacity, and the addition of new viewing areas around the circuit and various VIP lounges. It is the largest event in motorsport during the period from Oct. 6 to 8, and Doha will host concerts by international artists on the sidelines of the Formula 1 races at the Losail International Circuit, the paper added.
Meanwhile, Qatar Tourism, in cooperation with the Geneva International Motor Show, is preparing to launch the first edition of the Geneva Motor Show - Qatar for the first time outside Switzerland from Oct. 5 to 14. The exhibition is expected to attract more than 200,000 visitors, and more than 1000 representatives of international media, Al-Raya pointed out.
  In addition, Qatar University will organize the sixth international conference "Entrepreneurship for Sustainability and Impact" from Oct. 17 to 19 with the participation of researchers and representatives from more than 80 universities from 50 countries around the world. The State of Qatar will also host the third summit of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue on Oct. 18 - 19, based on its belief in the importance of this dialogue and its readiness to carry out an active role in this summit, the paper added.
The hosting of such major events and conferences and the participation of a significant number of senior experts, officials, leaders and decision-makers, reflect the international standing of the State of Qatar, Al-Raya said; noting the importance of these major events in highlighting the giant achievements and the comprehensive renaissance in the State of Qatar in various fields, as well as its remarkable regional and international efforts to establish security and peace and support development.
Under the headline "Exceptional Hospitality Sector", Al-Watan newspaper said that Expo 2023 Doha events will kick off in Al Bidaa Park Monday and will continue until March 28, 2024. It is the most recent global event which will be followed by many other prominent activities, most notably the inaugural Geneva International Motor Show - Qatar which will welcome 30 of the world's most renowned automotive brands.  
In addition, Qatar will host the most prominent sporting event at Lusail International Circuit - the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix 2023. The event is expected to attract audiences from all over the world, as all eyes turn to Qatar once again to watch the world’s best speed drivers in intense competitions, Al-Watan added.
November will see the launch of the 8th edition of "Hospitality Qatar" exhibition - the most prominent international trade exhibition and conference in the tourism, hospitality, hotels, restaurants and cafes sector in Qatar, the paper noted.
These events indicate a busy and rich tourist season that will bring back memories of Qatar World Cup; affirming that Doha is now at the forefront of tourist destinations thanks to its exceptional hospitality facilities that are unparalleled in the world, Al-Watan stressed.  
 
Al-Sharq newspaper said that as the countdown begins for the launch of Expo 2023 on Monday, the Guinness World Records awarded the Expo 2023 main building implemented by Ashghal for being "The Largest Green Roof" in the world built on an area of 4,031 sqm, helping the event gain global momentum. 
Achieving this record ahead of its launch adds momentum on a global scale and represents a new international recognition of Qatar’s achievements, the paper said.
Hosting the Expo 2023 in Al Bidda Park is symbolic as it is considered the first exhibition of its kind to be held in a desert area. The event carries many factors for success that the state has prepared to make the Expo 2023 an exceptional edition, from the main building to the service buildings, and the preparation of the external and internal exhibition gardens in preparation to host participants in one of the most important Horticultural exhibitions in the Middle East with the highest standards of horticulture are being demonstrated within a region with a hot climate, presenting the model of a green country in a desert region mixed with Qatari characteristics, and the main building's green roof, all signs of the country’s keenness to host a distinguished global event that will continue until Mar. 28, 2024, the paper continued.
Al-Sharq concluded by emphasizing that the Expo 2023 focuses on modern agriculture, technology and innovation, environmental awareness, and sustainability to enhance international cooperation, address the common global challenge of desertification, and guide the region on how to apply the green city concept. The exhibition is an opportunity to shed light on the challenges facing desert countries and propose solutions to promote a prosperous green life in Qatar and the Middle East.
For its part, the English-language newspaper The Peninsula said the final countdown for the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2023 is well and truly on, and the excitement is mounting since the Lusail International Circuit (LIC) has revealed the first look of the extensively remodeled venue. The iconic circuit, which underwent a major renovation for months, is ready and will become the center of attraction at the weekend as F1 stars return to the country after a one-year break. 
In its editorial entitled "F1 gala at world class Lusail Circuit," the newspaper stated already among the favorite circuits for riders and drivers, the stunning LIC is set to enhance the experience of all the stakeholders with F1 drivers and racegoers first to enjoy the state-of-the-art facilities. Led by Ashghal, a suite of new, state-of-the-art facilities including expanded seating capacity, five-star VIP zones, and new viewing areas have been built.
The world-class LIC has become a place to visit, particularly after the renovation as a host of new buildings have been constructed as part of the project including an ultramodern media center, a new medical center, a paddock area, a pit building, and various new VVIP buildings and hospitality areas. The venue can now accommodate 40,000 people and parking capacity has been expanded to 15,000, making it more accessible for motorsports fans. To ensure the fans remain abreast of action during the event, a total of 85 spectacular screens have been installed, the paper stressed.
The top-notch action at the venue will not stop after the F1 race as it will also be home to the 2023 MotoGP Qatar  Airways Grand Prix of Qatar to be held from Nov. 17 to 19. The venue will remain the hub of motorsports owing to long-term contracts with F1 and MotoGP, the paper said,
