Industry Minister receives UN Resident Coordinator in Bahrain

Manama, Oct. 1 (BNA): Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, received Khaled El Mekwad, United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator in Bahrain.

The minister affirmed the government’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the UN and its multiple development programmes.

She praised the great efforts and development contributions of the UN and its agencies to support economic development.

She noted the importance of the initiatives of the UN Executive Office and its remarkable contributions to many projects and programmes in the country, to achieve sustainable development goals.

El Mekwad commended the efforts of the government for all its efforts to support the initiatives of international organisations and their programmes, praising the accelerating growth of the Bahraini economy and the progress the Kingdom is witnessing on various levels.
