Yemen supports Egyptian candidate for UNESCO director post

SANA'A, June 20 (Saba)-Yemen confirmed on Saturday its support for
the Egyptian candidate for UNESCO Director General post.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Abu Bakr al-Qirbi received a letter from
his Egyptian counterpart Ahmed Abu al-Ghaid over asking the Yemeni
support for the Egyptian candidate Farouk Hosni for the post of
UNESCO director

The letter also dealt with bilateral relations between the two
brotherly countries

The Egyptian candidate is backed by the Arab League, the African
Union, and the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC).
