Qatar Takes Part in Plenary Session of WBG, IMF Meetings

Marrakech, October 13 (QNA) - HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari participated in the plenary session of the annual meetings of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which is being held from October 9 to 15 in Marrakesh, Morocco. The annual meetings of the Boards of Governors of the IMF and the WBG bring together central bank governors, finance and development ministers, senior officials from the private sector, representatives of civil society organizations and academics in order to discuss issues of global concern, including global economic prospects, combating poverty, economic development and the effectiveness of aid. On the sidelines of the annual meetings, seminars, regional information sessions, press conferences and many other events are held focusing on global economy, international development and global financial system.
