Expo 2023 Doha/ Bangladesh Pavilion Displays Wide Range of Local Heritage Products

Doha, October 31 (QNA) - The Bangladesh Pavilion in the International Zone at the Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha displays a wide range of products that introduce visitors to the cultural and civilizational history and economic development achieved by Bangladesh since its independence in 1971.
The visitor to the pavilion learns about the agricultural renaissance of Bangladesh, which is known for the cultivation of tea, sugarcane, and rice. It is also famous for its local industries represented in cooking utensils, foods, and handicrafts such as embroidery, cotton textiles, glass, metals, leather, etc. The pavilion also offers a wide range of heritage products, handicrafts, cotton textiles and home decor products, in addition to clothing and souvenirs.
HE Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to the State of Qatar Mohammed Nazrul Islam, explained that the Bangladesh pavilion is a mixture of history, culture, and various sectors, expressing his hope that the pavilion will be able to give an idea of his country's history and what it has achieved.
He pointed out that the Bangladesh pavilion displays the challenges, and how they have been overcome over the years, the pavilion also gives an idea about the people and their way of life.
HE the Ambassador praised the efforts made by the organizers of the Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha and the organizing committee. He called on the Expo audience to visit his country’s pavilion to learn about life, nature and the people of Bangladesh.
In this context, Director of the Bangladesh Pavilion at the Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha, Rafiqul Islam, expressed his happiness with the participation of Bangladesh in this major event, to promote itself and its economic policy and to attract businessmen for investment and tourism there, pointing out that his country has come a long way since its independence in 1971, and has achieved an upward agricultural, developmental and economic renaissance, and now has the largest factories and skilled labor.
The Director of the Bangladesh Pavilion added that Bangladesh is currently working to develop huge projects, such as sea ports, power stations and economic zones, to facilitate the process of transporting goods to neighboring countries, noting that the pavilion also seeks to promote tourism in Bangladesh and some archaeological sites, mosques, temples, beautiful beaches and tourist destinations.
