AFC President Praises Qatar's Organizational Capabilities

Doha, October 27 (QNA) - President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa expressed his deep appreciation for the Qatari Football Association's organizational capabilities and hospitality. The President of the Asian Football Confederation added in a statement today that the Asian football family will come together once again in Doha on Oct. 31, after 4 years, to present the awards of the 27th edition of the Asian Football Confederation for the year 2022. This event will honor the outstanding efforts of players and officials, as well as member associations and regional federations who deserve great praise for ensuring the continuous growth of football under the toughest conditions. He said that AFC was pleased to be able to gather the Asian football family in Doha, and emphasized AFC's deep appreciation for the Qatari Football Association for their evident organizational capabilities and generous hospitality. An honorary shield is set to be presented to the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy in recognition of Qatar hosting the FIFA World Cup 2022 at the highest level. (QNA)
