The State of Qatar Participates in 4th Tbilisi Silk Road Forum

 

 

Tbilisi, October 26 (QNA) - The State of Qatar participated in the 4th Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, which began today, in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, in the presence of about 2,000 participants, including heads of government, ministers, diplomats, and representatives of international organizations, financial and commercial institutions.

The State of Qatar's delegation was chaired by HE Minister of Transport Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti.  

The two-day Forum focuses on multiple key topics relating to supply chains, logistics services connectedness, and investments in transportation infrastructures and ground, maritime and air corridors worldwide.

Meanwhile HE the Minister of Transport and HE Vice Prime Minister, and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the dual recognition of certificates of seafarers between The Government of The State of Qatar and the Government of Georgia.

the MoU comes in compliance with the provisions of The International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW 1978). The MoU will apply to certificates of seafarers in unlimited voyages and for near coastal voyages, granting freedom of passage to the seafarers working on board of commercial vessels. (QNA)
