Qatar Football Team Maintains 61st Globally in Monthly FIFA Ranking

 

 

Zurich, October 26 (QNA) - Qatar football team maintained 61st in the global list and 6th in the Asia list in October's FIFA monthly ranking released on Thursday.

FIFA stated that it based this ranking on 165 international matches between teams held in October within the qualifications for 2026 FIFA World Cup and other continental competitions.

The Qatari team was ranked 61st globally last September.

The Qatar participated in the Jordan International Four-Nation Championship, where it beat Iraq 6-5 on penalties but lost to Iran 4-0. 

2022 FIFA World Cup winners Argentina came at the top of the world ranking, followed by France, Brazil, England, and Belgium. (QNA)
