Qatar Central Bank Governor Meets Under Secretary of US Treasury Department

 

 

Doha, October 25 (QNA) - HE Governor of Qatar Central Bank (QCB) Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al-Thani met Wednesday HE US Department of the Treasury's Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Brian Nelson, and his accompanying delegation, who is visiting the country.

    During the meeting, they reviewed relations between the two countries in the financial and banking fields and ways to enhance them.

    HE Governor of QCB affirmed the State of Qatar's firm and ongoing commitment to combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism in all its forms, expressing the State of Qatar's aspiration to continue close cooperation and exchange of experiences with the US in this field.

    For his part, the Under Secretary of the US Treasury Department for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence expressed his country's appreciation for the State of Qatar's constant efforts to combat money laundering and terrorist financing crimes, and for the ongoing coordination between the two countries in this aspect.
