Director of Qatar Handball Team Hails Fans' Role in Win against UAE in Qualifiers for Olympic Games

Doha, October 21 (QNA) - Director of Qatar Handball Team Youssef Al Hail said that the great attendance by fans to the team's match against UAE today was a great motivation for achieving victory. The match is staged within the ongoing Asian men's handball qualifiers for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in Doha. He thanked the fans who supported the national team in its match today and consider that one of the contributors to achieving the third successive win in the group stage. The victory was important in order to continue the campaign in the desired manner, but there are still two very strong matches against South Korea and Saudi Arabia, he added. He stressed that the team has to prepare for these the two matches in the best possible way so that it can finish the group stage with full marks and secure its qualification to the semi-finals. Regarding the participation of several players who missed previous matches due to injury, he said that Wajdi Sinan and Mustafa Haiba returned to participate after their absence from the first matches of the qualifiers due to injury, while noting that the two players need more time to fully participate in the matches.
