HM King arrives in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, Oct. 20 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa arrived today in Saudi Arabia to head the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain at the Summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

 

Upon arrival, His Majesty the King expressed his gratitude to His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for the invitation to participate in the summit.

 

He praised the deep-rooted historic Bahraini-Saudi relations, stressing the keenness to consolidate bilateral cooperation in all fields.

 

HM King Hamad congratulated Saudi Arabia on holding such an important summit.

 

He hailed the longstanding GCC-ASEAN relations, highlighting the potential and capabilities that enable both blocs to harness opportunities for expanding joint cooperation, which could yield a broad economic partnership, serve mutual interests and boost collaboration of efforts to promote peace, stability, development and prosperity for their peoples.

 

HM King Hamad expressed his appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, the Saudi Crown  Prince and Prime Minister, for their efforts to consolidate international cooperation to achieve security and stability in the region.

 

HM the King hoped that this summit would result in productive cooperation with the ASEAN countries and strengthen ties between the two sides.
