Auditor General receives Ambassador of Brazilian Federative

Manama, Oct. 19 (BNA): Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), received Adriano Silva Pucci, Ambassador of the Brazilian Federative.

The meeting reviewed NAO’s activities and discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of the two countries and through the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI).

The auditor general referred to the NAO's participation at INTOSAI’s 24th International Congress (INCOSAI), held every three years and which was hosted by Brazil last year, to discuss important issues facing the international public audit community.

He also referred to the recent visit of Antonio Anastasia, Minister at the Federal Court of Audit of the Brazilian Federative, to Bahrain to participate in the meetings on the development of professional standards of the INTOSAI Forum of Professional Pronouncements (FIPP) and the Strategic Development Plan (SDP) joint seminar held earlier this year in the Kingdom.

The ambassador expressed his appreciation for the close bilateral relations between the two countries, stressing his keenness to further strengthen ties in various fields.
