BIPA Director General highlights Bahraini women's role in research field

Manama, Oct. 17 (BNA): Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute for Public Administration (BIPA) said that the institute continues working to support women's advancement and enhance their contributions in the administrative field.

This is aligned with the goals of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), led by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the SCW, she said.

Bahraini women have an important role in research, institutional policies and designing strategies which positively impact Bahrain's development, she added.

Dr. Shaikha Rana spoke as she chaired the Equal Opportunities Committee meeting, which discussed research, training, consultancy and coaching initiatives aimed at promoting equal opportunities and gender balance in public and private sectors in training and research.

The director general announced that the institute is launching initiatives to highlight the best leadership and administrative practices of Bahraini women leaders. It is working on launching training programmess to support progress of Bahraini women, develop their leadership capabilities, and enhance their role in sustainable development.
