Foreign Minister receives French Ambassador to Bahrain

Manama, Oct. 16 (BNA): Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Eric Giraud-Telme, French Ambassador to Bahrain.

The two sides discussed the Bahraini-French relations and reviewed ways to promote cooperation in all fields.

They exchanged views on the latest security and humanitarian developments in the Gaza Strip, regional and international efforts to de-escalate, the protection of civilians, and the establishment of safe corridors for the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians in Gaza.

They also discussed ways to promote the efforts exerted to revive peace and reach a peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue and the establishment of a Palestinian state in accordance with the two-state solution and the resolutions of international legitimacy.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador Ahmed Ibrahim Al Qurainees, Chief of the European Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
