King Hamad Global Centre Chairman attends sixth session of the Paris Peace Forum

Paris, Nov. 11 (BNA): Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence participated in the sixth session of the Paris Peace Forum.
The forum is devoted to discussing challenges related to protecting the planet and people, digital security, accelerating the achievement of sustainable development goals, establishing peace and building a safer world.
Dr. Shaikh Abdulla emphasised Bahrain's commitment to strengthening partnerships for sustainable development and international stability, promoting coexistence, dialogue, and understanding.
He underlined the importance of joining efforts to protect humanity's future by developing comprehensive solutions to common challenges and rejecting violence and hatred.
Global crises require a combination of preventive diplomacy and tolerant religious values, fostering responsible humanitarian partnerships and utilising international forums like the Paris Peace Forum for multilateralism. Dr. Shaikh Abdulla said.
Dr. Shaikh Abdullah emphasised the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence's role in promoting tolerance and understanding, in line with the approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
He affirmed the need to adopt an international agreement to criminalise religious, sectarian, and racist hate speech and prevent abuse of freedoms and media platforms to spread intolerance, extremism, and terrorism.
The Chairman expressed concern over the ongoing deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip in light of the suffering of civilians and the destruction of infrastructure, emphasising the importance of investing in peace for security and prosperity.
