Qatar University, The Case Center Sign MoU to Advance Business Education

Doha, November 12 (QNA) - The College of Business and Economics at Qatar University (QU) and The Case Centre, an international organization that works to develop case study methods, signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at enhancing cooperation and excellence in the field of business administration study. Through a new partnership, The Case Centre and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Organizational Excellence (CEOE) at the College of Business and Economics will jointly organize events and activities to advance business education through case studies. This collaboration will enable both organizations to share their expertise and resources to create enriching experiences for students, faculty, and the wider business community. Dean of QU's College of Business and Economics Dr. Rana Sobh expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "The partnership between The Case Centre and the College of Business & Economics is a testament to the power of collaboration in advancing business education. By working together, the two organizations will share best practices, develop innovative teaching materials, and promote the use of case studies to a wider audience. This collaboration will undoubtedly benefit students, faculty, and the business community as a whole." Director of the CEOE Dr. Said Elbanna emphasized the importance of case studies in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students. "Case studies provide a real-world context for business concepts, allowing students to apply their knowledge and analytical skills to real-world scenarios. This hands-on approach is essential for preparing students for the complexities of the modern business world," he stated. The Case Study Hub at CEOE, QU, is a driving force in shaping the future of business education. Dedicated to providing students with real-world scenarios to apply their business knowledge, the unit develops and publishes high-quality teaching case studies that foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Recognizing the effectiveness of case-based learning, the unit actively embeds this teaching approach into the College of Business and Economics curriculum, creating an engaging and interactive learning environment that prepares students for the challenges of the modern business world.
