Deputy Prime Minister meets GCCCAC Secretary General

Manama, Nov. 12 (BNA): Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, met with Kamal bin Abdullah Al Hamad, the newly appointed Secretary General of the GCC Commercial Arbitration Centre (GCCCAC) "Dar Al Qarar."

The Deputy Prime Minister praised the joint Gulf action that contributed to enhancing economic cooperation and fulfilling the visions of the leaders of the GCC countries, which resulted in the establishment of specialised organisations in various fields, particularly commercial arbitration.

He affirmed the importance of continuing the efforts to foster the GCC business environment and investment climate with legislation and arbitration systems that would boost trust between the contracting parties, and facilitate procedures by following the best international practices.

Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla affirmed the international reputation of the centre, based in Bahrain, which gained client's trust by providing quick and effective solutions for commercial disputes.

Al Hamad expressed appreciation to the deputy prime minister for his interest and praised the kingdom's support for the efforts of the GCCCAC and its affiliates.
