Bahrain-Canada parliamentary cooperation discussed

Manama, Nov. 12 (BNA): Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Shura Council Chairman, received Ahmed Hussen, the Canadian Minister of International Development.

The chairman affirmed the legislative branch's keenness to strengthen Bahraini-Canadain cooperation through bilateral visits and the exchange of expertise to unify visions towards issues in the international parliamentary forums.

He commended Bahrain's legislative and diplomatic successes, which led to the expansion of its partnerships with other nations based on the values of tolerance, peace, and coexistence.

Hussen praised the kingdom's efforts to spread these values and its keenness to consolidate stability, security and safety for the countries and peoples of the world.

He stressed his country's support for Bahrain's initiatives in dialogue and brotherhood between sects and religions.

The Minister of International Development praised the bilateral collaboration and reaffirmed Canada's pride in the existing relations with Bahrain that extended for about 50 years.
