Bahrain-NATO relations praised

Manama, Nov. 19 (BNA): Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), today met Admiral Rob Bauer, Chair of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) Military Committee, who is on visit to the kingdom to participate in the 19th edition of the IISS-Manama Dialogue.

Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al Noaimi, Defence Affairs Minister, was present.

The BDF chief welcomed the NATO Military Committee Chairman and his accompanying delegation, commending Bahrain's distinguished relations with NATO.

The two sides affirmed their keenness to develop their bilateral ties and ongoing coordination in a way that serves common interests and consolidates security and stability in the region.
