QU Hosts International Children's Day Festival: "Passion and Profession"

Doha, November 20 (QNA) - Qatar University (QU)'s College of Education recently hosted the vibrant and enriching International Children's Day festival, resonating with the theme "Passion and Profession... Children's Bridge to the Future." The festivity, organized annually by the Early Childhood Center, stood as a testament to celebrating children while nurturing their growth and development in an engaging manner.
Emphasizing childhood as a pivotal building block for community development and global solidarity, the festival, which is organized annually, served as a platform to champion children's rights and advocate for an environment that fosters their well-being and prepares them for a promising, safe future. The chosen theme, "Passion and Profession," stemmed from the center's "Little Professionals" unit, encapsulating the culmination of their learning journey.
At the heart of the event was an ambition to provide a complete experience for children, encompassing physical, emotional, social, and educational dimensions. It aimed to create a safe, interactive space where learning meets joy, skills are honed, and creativity flourishes. Moreover, the festival facilitated volunteer opportunities for university students, bridging connections between the center, QU, and the local community.
The festival boasted active participation from a diverse array of professionals, both internal and external to QU, who actively contributed to the children's learning experiences within the "Little Professionals" project. This convergence of professionals and children fostered an inspiring exchange of knowledge and expertise.
The event was graced by Dean of the College of Education at QU Professor Dr. Asma Al Attiyah, alongside partners from various professions, parents, faculty members, and esteemed guests from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. (QNA)
