Asian Joint Qualification: Qatar Take on India on Tuesday

Doha, November 20 (QNA) - The Qatari national football team will face India on Tuesday at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, the capital of the state of Odisha, as part of the Preliminary Joint Qualification - Round 2 for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2027 AFC Asian Cup.
Qatar lead the group with three points, ahead of India on goal difference, while the Kuwaiti and Afghan teams are in third and fourth place without any points.
In the opening match on Thursday at Khalifa International Stadium, the Qatari national team secured a convincing 8-1 victory over Afghanistan.
Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz aims to secure all three points in the upcoming match, maintaining the lead in the group.
Queiroz relies on the strong performance of his players in the previous match against Afghanistan, where they achieved a resounding 8-1 victory.
The coach is likely to stick to the same lineup used in the Afghanistan match, with some adjustments in the midfield. (QNA)
