AZERBAIJANI MPS ATTENDING PACE SUMMER SESSION
Strasbourg, June 22 (AzerTAc). A parliamentary delegation of Azerbaijan led by chairman of the Milli Majlis commission on international relations and interparliamentary ties Samad Seyidov is attending the summer session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, which has started here today.
The group includes Rafael Huseynov, Gultekin Hajibeyli, Ganira Pashayeva and Sabir Hajiyev.
Because of heated debates over election of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe the Assembly decided not to include this issue on its agenda.
The agenda included the state of human rights in Europe, Situation in Belarus, Europe’s forgotten people: protecting the human rights of long-term displaced persons, renewable energies and the environment, nuclear energy and sustainable development and other issues
