Over 70 Somali refugees arrive at Yemeni coastlines

TAIZ, June 22 (Saba) - Around 34 Somali refugees, including 19
women, have arrived at al-Jahaf area at Thubab directorate in Taiz
province after an unidentified boat disembarked them at the coast
and escaped, Media Center at Interior Ministry has reported.

Security authorities gathered them in collaboration with Yemen Red
Crescent to send them to the United Nations High commissioner for
Refugees in Taiz city to be sent later to the main camp at Kharaz
Camp in Lahj province.

Meanwhile, security authorities and UNHCR at Mayfa'a district, in
Shabwah province, deported 41 Somali refugees, including 11 women
and one child, to Kharaz Camp in.

Yemen has witnessed a tremendous rise in the number of Somali
refugees which is exceeding more than 800.000 Somali refugees.
