QRCS Unveils "Support & Hope" Initiative for Gazans

Doha, November 29 (QNA) - Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) unveiled today a new initiative to collect messages of "support and hope" from the Qatari people to their brothers in the Gaza Strip in light of the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in which they are living.
QRCS explained, in a statement, that this initiative aims to send messages of support and hope to the people of Gaza who are suffering from difficult conditions, including the ongoing Israeli besiege and the blatant attacks, noting that the initiative will be launched tomorrow (Thursday) and will continue until Dec. 2,2023 in both Katara Cultural Village (Corniche area) and the Al Hayat Complex (Plaza) to encourage community members in Qatar to write messages of solidarity on posters that will be affixed to the relief boxes that are shipped and sent to the people of Gaza.
In a statement on this occasion, Director of Communication and Public Relations at QRCS Mohamed Rashid Al Marri stressed that through the initiative, they seek to deliver messages from the Qatari people to the people of Gaza who are suffering from difficult circumstances, in order to show them support in these difficult times, adding that words are no less important than material and in-kind assistance, and its impact in strengthening  steadfastness is great.
He expressed his hope that this initiative would contribute to raising the morale of people in Gaza and give them hope for a better future, considering that this initiative is part of the humanitarian duty towards the Palestinian brothers, and that it coincides with the relief convoys that Qatar sends successively to help the people in Gaza.
Al Marri called on the Qatari community, including citizens and residents, to strongly contribute to the initiative so that the largest number of messages reach our brothers in the Strip.
The initiative comes within a series of initiatives launched by QRCS for the sake of people in Gaza, which include providing humanitarian aid, and supporting development projects. (QNA)
